Ø Shine the Light of the Gospel

  •  The light of the gospel is the glory of Christ (II Corinthians 4:3-6).
    • Those who do not believe in the gospel suffer from depravation because Satan has blinded them to the truth of the gospel.
      • Share the word of God with these people (Romans 10:17).

Ø  Position Yourself to Hear the Word of God

  • Shut out all of the distractions in your life, read and hear the word of God, meditate on it, and apply it to your life.

  • Continually pursue Christ.

    • The more we behold Him, the more we will be like Him (I John 3:2).

Ø  Don’t Continue in Works

  • Good works will not justify or sanctify you (Galatians 3:2).
    • Love Christ and walk in the Spirit of God (Romans 8:1).
      • When you do this, going to church and serving others will not be a chore, but a delight.

Ø The Example of Samuel

  • Samuel heard the word of God, spoke it, and lived by it (I Samuel 3:1-21).
    • God reveals himself through His word.

Ø The Curse of the Law

  • Christ became the curse for us (Galatians 3:10-14).
    • Christ redeems our past and gives us the Spirit of God through faith.

Ø Christ Was Sacrificed for Us

  • He bore our sins and took our punishment (Isaiah 53:1-12).
    • We should be holy as Christ is holy (I Peter 1:15-16).
    • Take the kingdom of God by force (Matthew 11:12).

Ø Our Problems are Small Compare to the Cross

  • Christ suffered on the cross to defeat Satan and deliver us from fear, death, and hell (Hebrews 2:14-15).
    • His grace is sufficient for us (II Corinthians 12:9).

Ø We Have Been Reconciled to God By Christ

  • We should rejoice in the cross because it is a demonstration of God’s love for us (Romans 5:6-11).
    • We are new creations in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17).
      • When you have problems, remember the cross and you will be fine.
