Ø How Can You Prepare for a Move of God?

  • Proclaim the gospel (Romans 1:16, 10:14).

    • §  God has equipped us to proclaim the gospel (Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

    • §  When Peter obeyed God and went to Cornelius’s house, everyone was saved and

baptized in the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:30-48).

  • Pray Continuously (Acts 2:42-43).

§ The word “continue” in verse 42 means “to preserve” in Greek.
The church was launched and has been preserved by prayer.

§ There is power in corporate prayer.
Peter was delivered from prison through the prayers of the church (Acts 12:5-17).

• Study the Word of God

  • §  Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17).

  • §  There will be a great falling away of those who are deceived due to not knowing the

word of God (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).

Don’t fall asleep like those in the Garden of Gethsemane (Mark 14:32-42), but wait

in expectation like those in the upper room (Acts 2:1-4). in Unity (Acts 2:42-46).

• Be
§ Unity produces the fear of God, joy, and many signs and wonders (Acts 2:43, 8:6-8).

The word “fear” in verse 43 is the same as “awe.”

Signs and wonders are not the gifts of God, but the fruit of the gifts.

  • §  Unity is a sign to the world that Jesus is the Messiah (John 17:20-21).

  • §  Settle offenses before you worship God (Matthew 5:23-24).

  • §  Don’t let a root of bitterness spring up in your heart (Hebrews 12:15).

  • §  Unity comes from thinking of others as God’s masterpieces (Ephesians 2:10).

  • Maintain Your Spiritual Hunger (Psalm 85:6).
§ Don’t lose your first love (Revelation 2:4-5).
§ Make church and ministry a priority in your life (Hebrews 10:24-25). § Dedicate your family to God (Joshua 24:15).

  • Repent Continuously

    • §  Jesus convicts the world of sin (John 16:8).

    • §  Repentance brings deliverance from sin and times of refreshing, and it makes way for

the word of God (Acts 3:19, 19:19-20).

    • §  Ask God to search your heart and reveal your sin (Psalm 139:23-24).
