Full of the Spirit

Pastor Zach Prosser

“But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, ‘In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.’ It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.” ~ Jude 1:17-21

 A Life that is not Full of the Spirit
Scoffers:Mockery, expressing hatred to another or disapproval

Following their ungodly passions: Wicked lusts and desires
Devoid of the Spirit: Denial of, does not have

 Be Full of the Spirit
 Matthew 25:1-13; Ephesians 5:18; John 12:3; John 7:37-39

  •   As believers, our life is in the overflow. Jesus is pouring out the Holy Spirit to give supernatural unity and harmony so we can operate together as the Body of Christ.

  •   We need the Holy Spirit – Actis 1:4

• Is there anything we can do individually to be sure we are a “wise virgin”? As a church?

 Building Yourselves Up: Construct or build a house; to build upon

 Ephesians 4:15-16; Matthew 7:24-27

 Praying in the Spirit builds up and edifies your faith and ability to understand the Word of God

 Praying in the Spriit
 Romans 8:26; Ephesians 6:18

  •   The more we pray in the Spirit, He reveals what we should pray in the natural as well

  •   Samaritan Revival (Acts 8:1-17)

• What caused the Gospel message to be brought to Samaria? Is there a difference in purpose for why Philip went and why Peter & John went?

 Hold Fast the Love of God
 2 Corinthians 3:18; 2 Corinthians 4:18; Hebrews 6:16-18

• How can being filled with the Spirit help us see God differently than when we look at Him in the natural?
