Ø Christ Came So We Could Be Victorious (1 Corinthians 15:20-26) • A baby brought the victory (Isaiah 9:6-7).
§ Christ goes with us to the battle (Deuteronomy 20:1). § He works all things for our good (Romans 8:28).
Ø Satan Has Highly Exalted Himself in the World • Satan is puffed up with pride (1 Timothy 3:2-6).
§ His pride caused him to be cast out of heaven (Isaiah 14:12-15; Luke 10:17-18).
Ø Corruption in the Heart of Man is Exceedingly Abundant
All have sinned against God (Romans 3:10-18).
The human heart is wicked (Jeremiah 17:9).
People have forsaken God for things of the world (Jeremiah 2:13).
Ø Wicked Leaders Have Come to Power Throughout the World
• The Antichrist exalts himself against God (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).
Ø Affliction and Persecution Against God’s People Abounds • You will be tried in the fire (1 Peter 4:12).
Ø Death Continues to Prevail in This World
Sin brings death (Romans 5:12, 6:23).
Family members will kill each other (Matthew 10:21).
Ø Through Christ’s Righteousness, We Have Been Redeemed
Christ has forgiven us (Colossians 2:13-15).
He has made us righteous (Philippians 2:14-15).
He covers our shame (Revelation 3:18).
He has given us double honor (Isaiah 61:7).
He has made a way for us to live a holy life (Isaiah 35:8).
Ø Christ Gives us Victory over Death and Hell (1 Corinthians 15:51-57)
• Through death we destroy the power of the devil (Hebrews 2:14).
